In the "City of Frank", which has its good and its bad neighbourhoods, its own TV station, donut shops and traffic jams, the white blood cell Osmosis Jones is one of the many cops who try to keep up peace and order. Unfortunately, Jones seems to be the only cop in town who does not act by the book, but by his instincts. Even more unfortunately, his instincts don't work out that often, and so he causes more trouble than he does good. But with that germ-ridden egg comes a mortal danger: The evil and deadly virus Thrax arrives in order to kill Frank within 48 hours, just to get his own chapter in the medical books. Starting out with flu symptoms in order to deceive the authorities and the public, Thrax makes his way through Franks body. Accompanied only by "temporary relief of symptoms commonly associated with flu" cold tablet Drix, Osmosis Jones suspects that there is more going on than just a simple flu. Meanwhile, Mayor Phlegmming is much more interested in his re-election than in real problems and tries to keep trouble down. So, it is up only to Drix and Os to stop the "red death" from making Shane an orphan.

His grandiose plan for Frank is death in 48 hours, breaking previous medical records! Meanwhile the pill that Frank took, Drix arrives in the body and covers Frank's throat with ice to cover the irritation. Osmosis Jones becomes his newest partner. Now it's all up to only Osmosis and Drix to put an end of Thrax's plans before Frank gets sick forever and Shane will become an orphan!
What's with people? How did this live-action/animated fantastic<br/><br/>voyage into the unlovely body of Bill Murray get such a limp<br/><br/>response from critics and audiences? The Farrelly Brothers get to<br/><br/>play their two melodies–bodily horror, and the horror of<br/><br/>lower-middle-class clothes and furniture–at John Philip Sousa<br/><br/>volumeMurray eats an egg recently sucked on by a chimpanzee. (Don't ask.) From that point on, the germs entering<br/><br/>his bloodstream catalyze a parody of eighties and nineties<br/><br/>buddy-cop and action-blockbuster movies, all animated, all set<br/><br/>inside Murray's unfit, poorly fed, purulent and flatulating body. The<br/><br/>live-action stuff is quintesential Farrelly (their hideous<br/><br/>image-making techniques are feeling more like a deliberate<br/><br/>signature) and the animated stuff, if not visually dazzling, is<br/><br/>conceived with an ungodly cleverness. The movie is consistent<br/><br/>fun. Did I ask this already–what's with people?
Jones is a disgraced police cell, living inside Frank's body and trying to protect it from intruders. With the help of his new teammate, a pill recently swallowed by their host, they must fight against a very serious threat who plans to kill Frank in less than 48 hours.<br/><br/>Contrary to my expectations, this movie isn't totally animatedthe series it's based on, Frank and his miserable life being filmed in reality. It wouldn't have been such a big fuss if the actors weren't completely retarded and unpleasant, playing stupid roles in a very bad manner. Not to say that it was gross in a lot of such scenes…The story islinear, expected and simplisticit gets, so you'd think that it can provide something through its animated part…Well it doesn't. It's animation is O.K. but nothing more, voice acting is sometimes off while the action is boring and mostly predictable, when it's not too stupid to endure. Thankfully they thought to insert some good music throughout the picture, making the experience a bit more "enjoyable".<br/><br/>Maybe I had high expectations from this moviethe series provided a pleasant view for mea child, but except the two main characters, it didn't have anything for me to enjoy. Unfortunately,a whole, it's a big letdown which I cannot recommend to anyone.
In a dismal summer for movies, Osmosis Jones is a fresh breath of foul air.
